OSHA's Occupational Chemical Database

The Occupational Safety & Health Administration provides and maintains a database containing frequently used chemicals in the workplace. They compile information from various government agencies and organizations.

In the report OSHA provides the following information:

  • Physical properties
  • Exposure guidelines
  • National Institute for Occupational Safety & Health (NIOSH) pocket guide
  • Emergency response information

You can either use the search function provided on the left side of the page, or use CTRL + F to search the OSHA Occupational Chemical Database.

Chemicals can be very dangerous and any employers who use them whether it be one time or several should have a good understanding of the dangers and hazards they potentially cause.
