OSHA & Health Canada Update Hazcom Regulations to Align Labeling

The Occupational Health & Safety Administration and Canada Health have developed a workplace chemical plan that will align labeling and classification requirements for hazardous workplace chemicals.

The ultimate goal of the plan is to ensure that the current and future requirements for labeling and classification hazards in the workplace will be acceptable in both the United States and Canada without reducing worker safety.

OSHA has been actively involved in standardizing regulations with other safety and health organizations with the hopes of maintaining worker safety without increasing costs for businesses. The best practice when dealing with business that heed to a different safety organization is to check with their regulations to make sure that all standards are met.
